Who Am I?

I’m Ravinder and I’m your professional graduation photographer. I’ve been photographing graduation photos for the past couple of years for students at the University of Glasgow, the University of Edinburgh and universitys in Fife and Dundee.

Your graduation day is such an important and meaningful moment in your life and one that will stay memorable forever. Not only does it celebrate your achievements but it’s also the start of a new chapter in your life. I feel it’s important to document this with some beautiful and professional graduation photos to help you remember this moment in years to come. It’s also something nice to share with your family and friends and to pass down to future generations of your family and to look back on your achievements fondly.

I’ve decided to put a little blog together to tell you everything that you need to know about photography for your graduation.

What are graduation photos?

Graduation photos are taken on the day of your graduation from university/college most commonly after the graduation ceremony itself. Sometimes, photography isn’t allowed during the ceremony itself but this is dependent on the university. Personally, all my graduation shoots have taken place after the ceremony when the graduate is dressed in their cap and gown.

The graduation photo shoot is a mixture of outdoor solo and group photos of you and anyone else you wish to have included in the photos such as family or friends. I also like taking lots of natural photos of graduates as well so we often have a little wander around the grounds taking some beautiful natural and candid photos. If you have a partner or close family, then be sure to bring them as they can be a part of it, too.

Graduation Photography Packages and Prices

Graduate with her family for her graduation photography

I offer a couple of packages for graduation photo shoots to give you some choices. They come in the form of long sessions and short mini sessions.

Mini shoots tend to be more popular, especially since most people opt to have photos taken after the ceremony. These are generally 15 minute sessions which include 5 digital photos: For one graduate and group photos with your family and friends. These photos are then edited and delivered to you through an online gallery.

The Mini shoots (15 minutes) start from just £50.

My longer sessions for 30 minutes onwards start from £90.

Professional prints can be added to any of the packages for extra which is something I always recommend. I am a firm believer that photos are not meant to be looked at on a screen. They disappear into oblivion and are forgotten about. Having photos that you can physically hold in your hand makes the memories more meaningful. Pass them on to your children, your siblings, and your parents; hang them on the wall and view them every day. That’s how you cherish memories.
